Ingredients

  • 2 cups dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup pistachios 
  • 1/2 cup dates 
  • 1/4 cup almonds 
  • 1/4 cup dried apricots 
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1 tablespoon rosewater 
  • cc(optional, for a fragrant, Middle Eastern touch)
  • Sea salt
  • Edible gold leaf 

Instructions

  • Melt the Chocolate : Melt dark chocolate using a double boiler (bowl over simmering water) or microwave (30-second intervals, stirring until smooth).
  • Add Aromatics : Stir in cardamom powder and, if desired, rosewater for a floral essence.
  • Mix in Nuts and Fruits : Fold in pistachios, almonds, dates, and apricots to the melted chocolate for texture and authentic flavor.
  • Shape the Chocolate Bars :Pour the mixture onto parchment-lined baking sheet or into molds, spreading to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
  • Sprinkle with Sea Salt : Lightly sprinkle sea salt over the chocolate to enhance sweetness and flavor.
  • Chill to Set : Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm.
  • Cut and Serve : Break into bars or squares and decorate with edible gold leaf for an elegant finish.
