Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped (or substitute with parsley or chives)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)

Instructions

  • Prepare the ingredients: Mince the garlic and chop the fresh dill (or your preferred herbs).
  • Blend the cottage cheese: In a food processor or blender, add the cottage cheese and olive oil. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the flavorings: Add the minced garlic, lemon juice, fresh dill, salt, and pepper to the blended cottage cheese. Blend again until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Adjust seasoning: Taste the dip and adjust the salt, pepper, and lemon juice to your preference. For a bit of heat, add red pepper flakes and blend again.
  • Chill: Transfer the dip to a bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Serve: Serve chilled with fresh vegetables, crackers, or pita bread.
